The senior quarterback of the West Central Valley Wildcats varsity football team may have put together the single best performance all season against the defending Class 1A champions. The No. 1 Van Meter Bulldogs paid a visit to Stuart last Friday for a Class 1A District 8 showdown. Carson Wadle shined for West Central Valley on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he completed 50 percent of his passes (13-26) for 144 yards with no interceptions. Wadle also ran for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, he made nine total tackles include seven solo stops. Ultimately, the top-ranked Bulldogs were too much, handing the Wildcats a 35-14 setback. The loss drops West Central Valley’s overall record to 1-5. The Wildcats stay in Guthrie County this Friday with a short road trip to Guthrie Center and a district matchup versus the AC/GC Chargers.
