Dallas Supervisors 8-7

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

The meeting will start with the latest update on the new law enforcement center, including the eighth pay application. Twelve different contractors will receive payments through the Samuels Group for work completed thus far on the project. The Board will then continue their conversation with West Des Moines Water Works for a regional intergovernmental 28E agreement, which has been in progress for more than a month and may finally be reaching a resolution. Additionally, they may have more discussion regarding the service coordinator position for area 1A of the Healthcare Coalition, which has also been in the works for quite some time.

Other items on the agenda include: a property tax suspension request; discussion and possible action regarding the Kinnick pioneer cemetery; an amendment to the County financial policy; and an update on the Metropolitan Planning Organization. Finally, the board will possibly go into a closed session to discuss purchase of particular real estate. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
