If you walk inside the Stuart Public Library you’ll notice some decorations to usher in the fall season. Part of those displays was created by a student that’s not just new to the West Central Valley Community School District, but to the United States. Nuraiym Nurgazieva, a high school foreign exchange from Kyrgyzstan, created the most recent bulletin board at the library.

Director Lisa Sherman talks about the board’s creator. “She came in and asked if she could do some volunteer time, because that’s one of the parts of being a foreign exchange student. It took her eleven hours. I’m surprised it didn’t take more because it looks incredible. She hand drew all of the leaves. Cut them out herself. Painted words. It’s an incredible bulletin board. Just stop in and look at it.”

Nurgazieva will also be leading two programs at the library in November on her home country. Both programs will be on Thursday, November 15th at 5 and 6pm respectively. The programs will be about 30 minutes and are free and open to the public.
