Two buildings in the West Central Valley Community School District recently received an upgrade to their water fountains. Dexter Elementary and the middle school in Redfield were two of 61 schools that received a free water bottle filling station through Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation’s “Rethink Your Drink” campaign.
A total of 115 stations have been installed over the last year by the foundation. In addition to the water stations, each student will also receive a water bottle, toothbrush, and bookmark. The schools will also receive posters highlighting benefits of choosing optimally fluoridated tap water over sugary drinks. Greene County High School in Jefferson was another recipient.
Delta Dental of Iowa is a not-for-profit health and wellness company that provides dental and vision benefits for more than one million Iowans. Since 2002 they have invested more than $33 million to improve the oral and overall health of Iowans.
