An eventful week for the West Central Valley varsity volleyball team (6-9 overall; 1-6 WCAC) concludes tonight with a nonconference road trip. The Wildcats visit Clake High School for a best of five games match against the Indians. The Wildcats are 1-2 in three matches so far this week and are coming off a five-game setback against Guthrie County rival Panorama Tuesday in Stuart (25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 21-25, 6-15). Three Wildcat athletes posted 20 or more digs against Panorama including a game-high 27 from senior Haley Nizzi. Senior Maddison Waddle recorded 26 digs while Jenne Merical recorded a double-double with 15 kills and 20 digs. The Indians (4-11 overall) dropped their latest South Central Conference match Tuesday night in Centerville, falling to the Redettes in four games (25-23, 12-25, 16-25, 22-25). The varsity match between West Central Valley and Clarke serves around 7 p.m. tonight in Osceola.
