Next week kicks off the joint homecoming week for Greene County and Paton-Churdan School districts.

Paton-Churdan has already announced their respective homecoming court. The king candidates include: Blake Delaney, Gage Behrens, Eric Thompson, Caden Wilson, Eric Sabus, James Smith and Clayton Smith. The queen candidates are: Megan Carey, Jenna Beyers, Ariana Roper, TyLynn Smith, Torey Baugh, and Briana Jewett. The coronation ceremony for P-C will be held this Sunday at 5:30pm at the school building in Churdan.

Then everyone is invited to the annual Powder Puff football game at the Greene County High School football field at 7pm. Student Council President Melanie Doran says admission charge to the game is $1 and one non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food pantry.

This year’s theme is “Back in Black” with all of the activities leading up to the home varsity football game against Atlantic next Friday night at Linduska Field in Jefferson.
