7:56am: An officer responded to a Business Alarm Activation at 400 North Elm Street. An employee was present and accidentally set off the alarm.

12:04pm: Brooke Venteicher reported a Careless Driver near Reed & Maple Streets. The officer spoke to the young driver about the complaint a short time later.

6:00pm: Patsy Miller spoke with an officer concerning a possible Harassment situation between her daughter and another middle school female. Both sets of parents and the officer will work with the school on the issue.

7:12pm: Jeanise Pedersen reported an Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card by a family member. The card was used to withdraw money from her account. The officer is investigating.

7:15:pm: Steve Brandt reported an on-going issue with Barking Dogs at 403 Pinet Street. Officers have worked with the animal owner in the past on this issue. Christopher Hallinan was issued a Citation for, “Barking Dog – Annoyance.”

7:32pm: Craig Johnson spoke with an officer concerning Civil Child Custody and Civil Property Issues. He was advised to seek an attorney.

8:40pm: Sarah Nicholson reported receiving a phone call from a female wanting to meet her in Jefferson on an upcoming day. The female presented herself as a Union Representative. Sarah advised another family member had also received the call from the female. The officer was given the number. He called and spoke to the female, who is selling Life and Funeral Insurance and was a legitimate insurance representative. The information was passed back to Nicholson.

9:22pm: Jessica Wenger reported a neighbor’s dog bit her ankle at 409 North Olive Street. The dog approached her aggressively when she attempted to walk over and advise the neighbor she had been bitten. The officer investigated and according to ordinance, deemed the animal “Illegal.” The animal will have to leave the city limits, per ordinance.

10:02pm: A caller requested a Welfare Check on a friend in Jefferson she believed to be suicidal. The officer made contact with the subject and parents and learned he was fine.

10:16pm: A caller requested a Welfare check on her father in Jefferson who she believed to be suicidal. The officer made contact with her parents and learned her father was fine.

11:42pm: A caller requested a Welfare Check on a female in Jefferson who he believed to be intoxicated and suicidal. The officer made contact with the female and learned she was fine.
