For the third time in the last four games, the Greene County football team will be playing on artificial surface. Coach Mitch Moore’s Rams travel to newly refurbished Carroll Athletic Field tomorrow night to face the Kuemper Catholic Knights in a Class 2A District 9 contest. Greene County is 5-0 overall, 1-0 in the district, and ranked between sixth and eighth in 2A, depending on the poll. The Knights are 2-3 overall, and are coming off their most impressive win of the season, a 45-14 district opening win on the road at Atlantic.

Carroll Athletic Field underwent a complete makeover from the end of last season to August of this year. The only thing that isn’t different from 2017 is the location of the stadium. It’s still on Grant Road two blocks north of Highway 30. The playing surface, track, bleachers, press box, concession and restroom facilities, scoreboard; it’s all brand new.

Coverage on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com starts at 6 p.m. with kickoff at 7 p.m.
