The girls representing Boone High School swam their way to a quadrangular victory in Grinnell on Tuesday night at Grinnell College. Boone had 306 points with 294 by Vinton-Shellsburg, 264 from Williamsburg, and 241 from the host Tigers. Greene County High School has swimmers on the Boone team through an athletic sharing agreement.

Ellie Madson, a Greene County junior, won the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:17.96. Julia Saul, also a Greene County junior, was first in the 500 yard freestyle in 6:13.35. Saul was fourth in the 200 individual medley, and junior Sophia Ausberger and Madson were on the fifth place 200 freestyle relay.

Coach Chris Mann’s Boone team improved to 17-9 on the season.
