Wednesday, September 19th
1:00am: Charles Fairbanks advised of two juveniles walking in the area of the 700 Block of West Adams Street. While checking the area the officer located a female juvenile. She advised that she and her brother had snuck out of their residence and were walking around town. The officer returned the female to her residence and spoke to a parent. Both juveniles were issued a Citation for, “Curfew Violation.”
8:40am: An officer investigated a Backing Accident at 208 West Lincoln Way Street. A 2016 Kenworth dump truck was being backed up in the parking lot and struck a metal light pole, knocking it off the base. The truck was owned and operated by Jason Gurney of Des Moines. The truck had very minor damages. The pole, owned by Oly’s Corner had a reported $4000.00 in damages.
9:41am: Eric Chrystal spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Issue occurring at 705 West Sunset Road.
10:16am: Zion Recovery Services requested a Welfare Check be conducted at 304 South Wilson Ave. They had been unable to reach a female patient. The officer made contact with the female, who was fine.
5:06pm: Ariel Forman reported receiving a Scam Phone Call where the caller advised her she would be arrested for being behind on a payment. She did not give any information to the caller, as she recognized it as a scam.
5:57pm: Amy Parnell requested a Welfare Check be conducted for her two children staying with their father at 1225 Rushridge Road. The officer made contact with the children, who were fine.
