Greene County Extension is hosting a special program focusing on what documents should be included in a safe and convenient location when you need to leave your home in an emergency.
The “Grab and Go Emergency Case: Financial Records” will allow attendees to decide what financial records should be kept together in a grab-and-go situation in case of an emergency or if a natural disaster arises where you have to leave your home. The class will be held in two locations on Wednesday, September 19th. It will be at the Greene County Extension office in Jefferson from noon to 1pm or at the Churdan Community Center from 2 to 3pm. Extension Director Lori Mannel explains why they are offering the class in Churdan.
“Churdan has a great following for the elderly and young, and there’s some interest in doing this (program there). It certainly works out in our presenter’s calendar. It’s just offering this program twice. If you’re in the northern part of the county, maybe the Churdan location works better for you.”
Cost for the noon program is $15 per person or $20 per couple and includes a lunch. The Churdan program costs $10 per person or $15 per couple and includes a snack. Registration for either class can be done online by clicking the links below.
