The first victory of the season came in blowout fashion on the road Friday night for the West Central Valley Wildcats varsity football team. The Wildcats traveled to Greenfield for a nondistrict rivalry game versus the Nodaway Valley Wolverines. West Central Valley returned to Stuart with a 62-12 victory. Wildcat head football coach Eric Addy shared with Raccoon Valley Radio that seniors Carson Wadle and Cole Arnburg accounted for four touchdowns each in the victory. Wadle had two passing and two rushing scores. Arnburgs touchdowns included two receiving, one rushing, and one punt return score. The win improves West Central Valley’s overall record to 1-3. The Wildcats open district play next Friday at home against Mount Ayr.
