As the road towards Election Day gets shorter, candidates for the assortment of county, state, and federal offices are beginning to ramp up their campaign stops.
Democratic candidate Cindy Axne, who is running for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, will be paying two visits to Dallas County within the next month. The first event will be on Tuesday, September 18th in Adel. Axne will visit the home of Dallas County Democratic Party Chairperson, Bryce Smith, located at 614 Court Street. The public is invited to a meet and greet and fundraiser from 6-7:30 p.m.
A few weeks later, Axne will visit the County again, making her second trip to Perry this year. She will be at the Perry Perk Coffee Shop on Saturday, October 6th from 2-3:30 p.m. for another meet and greet fundraiser. There is no cost to attend either event, though donations to the campaign will be accepted. Axne is running to unseat the Republican incumbent for Iowa’s 3rd District, Congressman David Young. Early voting begins on Sunday, October 7th, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 6th.
