Dallas Supervisors 8-7

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

Several items on the agenda involve the Secondary Roads Department, including a contract with a bridge inspection consultant, project updates, and drainage at a property on Prospect Avenue. Following that, the Board will consider an addition to last week’s pay application for the law enforcement center project, to include a payment to Team Services as the testing agent. Other items on the agenda include: abatement of mobile home taxes; a proposal by the Emergency Medical Services Department to use Iowa Offset as a funding source; discussion of an opioid litigation op-ed piece; discussion on township boundaries; and Board appointments for the Union Township trustees.

The Board may also continue conversations and have possible action for recurring topics, including: the West Des Moines, Waukee, and Van Meter regional water study; the courthouse renovation and department reshuffling; and the service coordinator position for area 1A of the Healthcare Coalition. The meeting will conclude with three possible closed sessions. The first will involve the purchase of particular real estate, while the other two will focus on pending litigation.

The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
