With the annual Cy-Hawk football game coming up this Saturday, Greene County Extension invites all fans to a special tailgating party on Friday.

Extension Director Lori Mannel says they are partnering with Jefferson Hy-Vee and McFarland Clinic for a third consecutive year to put on their free Fall Block Party.

“Pop on down to 106 West Washington (Street). We’re going to have free hot dogs, chips and drinks, (along with) games and prizes, live music, (and) some health booths there from McFarland Clinic. It’s free. Just pop in with the family and enjoy some fun.”

The event takes place from 4:30 to 6pm this Friday in the Jefferson Hy-Vee parking lot. Mannel urges everyone to use caution due to construction taking place with Hy-Vee installing a new gas station/convenience store.
