The league volleyball season resumes tonight in Urbandale for the West Central Valley Wildcats. The Wildcats pay a visit to Des Moines Christian for their annual West Central Activities Conference match. West Central Valley tallied their first victory of the fall last Thursday in Stuart, topping the Glidden-Ralston Wolverines in four sets (25-18, 13-25, 25-20, 25-15). Junior Jenna Merical registered a team-best 11 kills and went a perfect 14 for 14 serving the ball with three aces. Senior Maddie Waddle recorded 21 digs on defense for the Wildcats. West Central Valley hasn’t won a game in three league contests so far this fall. The Des Moines Christian Lions enter tonight’s match with 3-0 conference mark and haven’t dropped a set to an opponent so far this fall. The varsity match serves at 7 p.m. tonight at Des Moines Christian High School in Urbandale.
