Iowa State University Extension and Outreach recently hired a new farm management specialist to serve the Greene County area.
Tim Christensen grew up near Winterset and graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. Christensen explains what his role is as an Extension Farm Management Specialist.
“We’re here as a resource to everybody in the agriculture department to bring you information on the financials. If there’s a change going on in the operation, or if there’s some struggles in the operation they might need help with, we’re here to be an unbiased person to step in with some research-based answers and tools to bring and help through some tough times, or maybe even help restructure or move forward in good times.”
Christensen has been with ISU Extension for three years and serves an 11 county area. To contact Christensen with any questions, call or stop by the Extension office in Jefferson.
