The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday.
The Council approved the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan is revised every five years to pinpoint natural disaster relief projects and how funds should be used through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). To save money this year, the plan includes public entities in both Guthrie and Adair counties.
The Council also approved a Corporate Resolution with Guthrie County State Bank. They then continued discussion on an employee screening process for new hires. The Council directed City staff to prepare a proposal for each department to be reviewed by City Attorney Jeff Bump before the Council considers approving the proposal at the next meeting. The meeting concluded with an update by Panora Police Chief Matt Reising on departmental camera upgrades.
