Labor Day is this Monday, and that means there are an assortment of closures in the area you should be aware of.

First of all in Perry, the City Hall, Water Works Office, and McCreary Community Building will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. Meanwhile, the Perry Public Library will be closed both Sunday and Monday. Additionally, the City Council will meet on Tuesday night instead of Monday for their regular session. Finally, garbage routes scheduled for Monday will instead be picked up on Tuesday, and Tuesday will be picked up Wednesday. That also means there will be no yard waste pickup on Wednesday, though that will resume on September 12 for residents north of Willis Avenue.

For Adel, the City Hall and all other City offices will be closed for Labor Day, including the public library. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collections will each be delayed by one day during the week. Lastly, all Dallas County offices will be closed Monday, including the Driver’s License Station and Department of Motor Vehicles. The weekly Board of Supervisors meeting will not be altered by the holiday.
