The West Central Valley School Board will meet in a special session tomorrow.
The Board will discuss the middle school bleacher project. At their most recent meeting, Business Manager Symantha Crawford and Superintendent Lance Ridgely pointed out several complications with the project, including: underestimated project costs between $30,000-50,000, no signed contracts, a limited bidding process, and no direct oversight from administration. Project completion has been put on hold pending an investigation into the complications.
They will also appoint District Six Board Member Jenyse Belden’s replacement. The two up for consideration are current Stuart City Council Member Mick Askren and Ashley Stodden.
The meeting is open to the public and begins at 7pm in the music room at West Central Valley High School in Stuart.
