Monday, August 27th
9:59am: A deputy assisted with an ambulance in the 1200 block of South Elm Street, Jefferson.
10:48am: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 140th Street and Head Street in Churdan.
11:33am: The Sheriff investigated a trespass complaint in the 500 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.
11:43am: A deputy investigated and assisted with traffic control for seed tender that fell off of a trailer on N Avenue near 150th Street.
3:19pm: A deputy investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 200 block of Main Street, Paton.
5:47pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1900 block of Locust Street, Scranton.
7:38pm: A deputy investigated a theft in the 400 block of D Avenue.
7:59pm: A deputy investigated suspicious activity at 16th Street and Railroad Street, Grand Junction.
Tuesday, August 28th
3:58am: The Sheriff, deputies, Greene County EMS, Jefferson Fire, and the Jefferson Police Department investigated a single vehicle accident on 220th Street near L Avenue. A 2004 Peterbilt tractor and trailer hauling scrap metal lost control and slid on it side on 220th Street dumping the scrap metal on the roadway. Terry Smith the driver 56 of Lake View will be cited for failure to maintain control. The semi was eastbound on 220th Street. The driver was transported to the Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS.
4:31am: The Sheriff, Jefferson Police Department, Jefferson Fire, Grand Junction Fire, and Greene County EMS responded to a fire at Power Lift in Jefferson. There was extensive damage from the fire.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
