An effort to raise funds for a local law enforcement entity proved once again to be successful.
The Jefferson Police Department recently received funds from Addison Enns and Casey Jones of the Back the Blue Benefit. The police department purchased two digital cameras for the patrol vehicles and were able to pay the cost to send Officer Caleb Jans to become a certified DARE Instructor next month. Funds were raised this past June through t-shirt sales that featured a new design specifically for the police department.
The Back the Blue Benefit also raised funds in 2016 to help purchase replacement firearms for the police department as well as the Greene County Sheriff’s office. The police department thanks Enns and Jones for their work, as well as the community for their support during the most recent campaign to help them with needed equipment purchases.
