The Dallas County Hospital Foundation raises money in an assortment of ways throughout the year for their scholarship program, and tomorrow they are hosting a local retailer for a special fundraising event.
The Foundation is welcoming a vendor to the hospital who will be selling bags in a variety of styles. Foundation Manager Matt Crooks says they host around 10 vendors throughout the year, and it serves to benefit each party involved. “The reasoning that we do this is because it works well with partners in the community that sell items on their own, and then also we receive 20% of the raised earnings from those events. (It) comes back to the hospital (and) goes into our Foundation scholarship account, and then we’re able to give those out to high school seniors or those entering into their final year of college that following year.”
The fundraiser will be held tomorrow during normal business hours at Dallas County Hospital. To learn more about the Foundation, listen to Crooks on today’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program on air and at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
