A car versus deer accident near the Dallas-Greene County line caused injuries to three individuals.
A Dallas County Deputy responded to the incident at 8:50pm Friday night at 120th Street and W Avenue, near Dawson. According to the crash report, 32-year-old Cody Savage of Jefferson was trying to turn right onto 120th Street from W Avenue when he swerved his 2006 Pontiac G6 to miss hitting a deer. The vehicle appeared to leave the roadway and slid on its side ending up in the south ditch on its top before hitting a tree.
The report shows that Savage, along with two passengers in the vehicle, 27-year-old Mitchel Young of Scranton and 21-year-old Laine Groves of Ogden suffered possible injuries and were all transported to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County Emergency Medical Services. The Pontiac sustained $6,000 in damages.
