There’s only a few days left to contribute to this year’s Greene County Relay for Life total.

The leadership committee’s goal is to raise $40,000. The main event, held in April, raised $38,500. Chair Tori Riley appreciates everyone’s support and hopes to achieve their goal by the August 30th fundraising deadline. She says Relay for Life is a proactive way for people to help raise money for cancer research and they are working for the day when cures for the disease are found.

Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and dropped off at Peoples Bank in Jefferson or mailed to 116 West State Street.
