Here’s a reminder that the filing deadline for candidacy in November’s general election for County offices is Wednesday. The Guthrie County offices up for election this year include: Supervisor Districts 2-4, Attorney, Treasurer, and Recorder. Any individual may run with no party affiliation, but must get a minimum of 65 signatures to appear on the ballot.
Individuals who received their party’s primary nomination in June and will be on the ballot in November include: District 2 Supervisor Republican incumbent Clifford Carney, District 3 Supervisor Republican incumbent Everett Grasty and Democratic challenger Kevin Dean Wirt, District 4 Supervisor Republican candidate J.D. Kuster, County Attorney Republican candidate Brenna Bird, County Treasurer Republican incumbent Marci Schreck, and County Recorder Republican incumbent Tristen Richard.
There are various other boards and committees that will be part of the November ballot. The deadline to file is 5pm at the Guthrie County Auditor’s Office.
