The opening week of the high school volleyball season takes the West Central Valley Wildcats on their first road trip of the young season tonight. The Wildcats pay a visit to Dallas County for a West Central Activites Conference match versus the Woodward-Granger Lady Hawks. West Central Valley opened their 2018 campaign in Stuart Tuesday night, falling in straight sets to Guthrie County rival AC/GC (20-25, 16-25, 17-25). The Wildcats registered 16 kills total led by junior Jenna Merical with five. Senior Maddie Waddell tallied 15 digs defensively for West Central Valley, while senior Abby Speichenger dished out 10 assists. Tonight is the opening match of the season for the Woodward-Granger Lady Hawks. The Lady Hawks will look to build on a 25-14 finish in 2017. The varsity match serves at 7 p.m. tonight at Woodward-Granger High School in Woodward.
