The proposed changes to the Perry Waste Water Treatment Plant
The proposed changes to the Perry Waste Water Treatment Plant

Don’t forget: tonight at La Poste, the City of Perry is hosting the first of several open houses to educate the public on the Waste Water Treatment Plant renovation project.

City Administrator Sven Peterson says City staff, as well as representatives from City Engineers Bolton and Menk, will guide attendees on a virtual tour of the facility via informational boards, which underline the reasons the renovation is needed. He believes once people see the necessity of the improvements, they’re more likely to get behind the project. To that end, he’s also working to schedule an open house at the plant so people can view the issues first-hand.

Peterson says tonight’s open house should be very informative, and he encourages anyone with questions to attend. “This is part of our public outreach portion of the sewer plant project. If you have any comments (or) concerns, we will be there listening to those, and answering any questions that we can. It’s a great way to come in and get a good feel for the project. It’s a large project for the City, so it’s important to me and to City Council and the rest of the staff that we get the correct and accurate information out there.”

The open house will run from 4:30-7:30 p.m., and people can come and go as they please. To learn more about the Waste Water Treatment Plant project, listen to this past Tuesday’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
