The next program in the Perry Public Library’s Lifelong Learners Coffee series is coming this Monday.

The topic for the event will be “Blue-Ribbon Baking: Behind the Scenes at the Iowa State Fair.” The group will welcome “State Fair” Sally Kilkenny, a blue-ribbon baker, who will take attendees on a behind-the-scenes look at competitive baking at the Fair. She will offer stories, competition baking tips, samples, and discussions on several other State Fair elements. The event is open to the public, and will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in the library’s large meeting room. It’s free to attend and no registration is required.
