A two vehicle wreck north of Adel Monday afternoon results in minor injuries and totaled vehicles.

Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard tells Raccoon Valley Radio the crash happened on Highway 169, north of Adel. Leonard says one of the drivers had come to a complete stop on the highway and was waiting to turn onto their street, when another vehicle approached from behind, didn’t see that the vehicle had stopped, and rear-ended the stopped vehicle.

Leonard notes that one of the drivers was transported to a hospital, as a precaution, with possible minor injuries. Both drivers complained of injuries from when their respective airbags deployed in their vehicles. Both vehicles were totaled in the incident. The incident remains under investigation by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
