The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board officially approved the canvass of votes in last Tuesday’s special election for Bayard City Council. Jack Stone is the winner and will serve on the Council until next year’s general election. The Board also heard departmental updates from County Conservation Director Joe Hanner, Transfer Station Executive Director Jotham Arber, and County Engineer Josh Sebern.
During the updates the Board discussed transferring $16,000 from camping revenues into the Conservation Board’s general fund per Hanner’s request. Hanner also said that they hired a representative from Guthrie Center Rural Electrical Cooperative (REC) to evaluate the electrical capacity at Nations Bridge Park. Arber informed the Board that they are working on drafting 28E agreements with surrounding communities for Transfer Station services.
The Board also approved a right-of-way purchase agreement for a bridge replacement project southeast of Panora and a fireworks permit.
