The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.
The first part of the meeting will be devoted to the Human Resources Department. The Board will go over payroll change notices, an actuarial services engagement letter for the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, Statement 75 (GASB 75), and further discussion on a potential compensation plan consultant. Next, they will consider a pricing proposal request for a jail office expansion at the new law enforcement center, followed by further discussion on the courthouse space needs. At 9:30 a.m., the Board will hold the first of two public hearings during the meeting. The first is relating to easements between County Conservation and the City of Waukee for the Raccoon River Valley Trail and the Stratford Crossing project.
The second public hearing will be held at 10 for the second reading of proposed amendments to the flood plain ordinance. Following the hearings, the Board will consider awarding a bid and contract for the Driver’s License Station parking lot project. Other items on the agenda include: an agreement for a CGI County Video project; an update and funding request from Homecare Services; and further discussion on the West Des Moines, Waukee, and Van Meter regional water study. The Board may also continue discussion on the Healthcare Coalition service area 1A coordinator position.
Finally, the Board will have a possible closed session to discuss pending litigation. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
