PACES Director Mary Hillman accepts Bock Foundation Grant

Applications are now being accepted for the Bock Family Foundation’s fall grant cycle, but the deadline is approaching.

All grant proposals need to be submitted by Saturday, September 1st in order to be considered. Those selected to receive funds will be notified in October, and there will be a formal presentation held late in the month. The Foundation awards grants twice a year, in the spring and fall, which support a wide assortment of organizations that benefit the people of Dallas County. Groups considered for grants include nonprofits operated for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes. All funded projects are located in Dallas County, and preference is given to the four northwest townships.

At this year’s spring grant presentation, nearly $64,000 was awarded to 34 local organizations. Since being founded in 2002, the Bock Family Foundation has given more than $1.7 million in grants. Applications can be sent to 1401 Willis Avenue, PO Box 487, Perry, IA, 50220. Anyone with questions can contact Scott Finneseth, Executive Director of the Foundation, at 515-465-4641, or at lawyers@fdplawfirm.com.
