Alliant Energy Foundation is offering a couple opportunities for grant funds to public safety and non-profit organizations.
The first are called Hometown Safety Grants. It is for those organizations that protect and serve communities. Organizations that are considered for these grants include police and fire departments, as well as schools, libraries and other public service organizations. The applicant must be a 501(c)3 or affiliated with a city, town, village or local government. Grants are typically for a specific, one-time, safety-related project, and range between $500 to $2,000, with a 50-percent match.
The second type of grant is called the Community Grant. It is for non-profit organizations and projects that benefit customers in Alliant Energy communities that focus on helping families, education and the environment.
