A Perry man was arrested late Friday night following a brief standoff with the Perry Police Department.

At around 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of 1st Street in Perry, attempting to execute a Dallas County warrant for 25-year-old David Hung Le. Le initially refused to come out, but following a short standoff he was taken into custody. After an investigation of the premises, the police department also booked him on several drug-related charges, including: two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a class C felony and class D felony; failure to affix a drug stamp, a class D felony; unlawful possession of prescription drugs, an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

He was transported to the Dallas County Jail and has an initial court appearance scheduled for today. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
