Next Sunday, the Panorama high school football program is hosting a seminar designed to help educate females about the sport. Panorama first-year head coach Michael Kauzlarich taped an interview for the Raccoon Valley Radio Network’s Guthrie County PM Sports Page Monday afternoon and talked about next weekend’s Females 4 Football event. Kauzlarich says he got the idea from the head football coach at the University of Iowa. “Kirk Ferentz does it over at (the University of) Iowa where he brings all the mothers of the players in and takes you through a gameday experience,” Kauzlarich said, “(This happens) so they know what their kids are feeling like and Females 4 Football is kind of like that but we’ve expanded it. Any female high school and older, so friends, grandparents, moms, sisters, (and) aunts, they are welcome to come on August 19 and be apart of our Females 4 Football camp. It’s 30 dollars and runs from 5-8 p.m. .”

The three-hour session will focus on teaching the techniques for keeping the game safe and the skills and positions of their favorite players. Those in attendance will receive a special pink out shirt and can take a picture in their favorite player’s jersey. Those interested in attending Females 4 Football are asked to reserve a spot with coach Kauzlarich by reaching him by email,mike.kauzlarich@panorama.k12.ia.us or by calling (641) 216-3385.
