The final summer lunch program with the Panorama Community School District will be on Monday in Panora. The District will be serving lunch outside the Panora Public Library from 11am-1pm. Volunteers will be serving the meal out of a marked District van.
This will conclude the second round of free lunches, held in each community in the district this summer. During the first round of free lunches, 43 students and seven adults enjoyed a free meal outside the library. In total during the first trips to Bagley, Jamaica, Yale, Linden and Panora, 112 students and 15 adults were served. Superintendent Shawn Holloway hopes to keep this program going in some capacity throughout the school year.
