With the start of the new school year coming soon, one local organization in Perry wants to make sure students have everything they need.
The Perry Freedom for Youth Center will be hosting a back-to-school backpack drive tomorrow from 5-7 p.m. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible to receive backpacks and supplies at the event. Parents and kids will need to fill out a connection card first, and the backpacks will be distributed according to grade levels. Supplies include notebooks, loose-leaf paper, markers, pencils, pens, binders, crayons, colored pencils, and more. Attendees will also learn about the center’s free after school programs.
