A business in Jefferson is looking to raise money for a good cause on Monday.

The A&W Family Restaurant is raising money for the Disabled American Veterans organization. Manager Rebecca Chumbley says they’ve been collecting donations for a while but to further their efforts on Monday they will be serving free small root beer floats from 2 to 8pm, no purchase necessary. During that time, they will be accepting donations for the DAV.

“We actually did Root Beer Float Day last year and the year previously. Last year we also supported the DAV, the Disabled American Vets. So it is a good cause and 100-percent of the proceeds goes to them and their local chapters.”

She encourages everyone to support the great cause and get a free root beer float at the same time on Monday.
