The Greene County Democratic Party is hosting an informational and special nominating convention ahead of the November general election.
The Central Committee is looking for candidates to run for the Greene County Supervisor District 2 and District 3 seats. Candidates must reside in those districts, but are voted on by all residents in the county’s five districts. Interested individuals may attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, August 7th at 7pm at the Milwaukee Depot to hear more about the positions and election process. Former supervisors Jerry Roberts and Bill Raney will be on hand to provide additional information and insights. Supervisors in Greene County are paid $27,803 annually and are eligible for county health insurance benefits.
There will also be a special nomination convention on Tuesday, August 14th also at 7pm at the Milwaukee Depot. The individuals that are selected at the convention will be placed on the November ballot. Currently, the names on the ballot are Republican incumbents Dawn Rudolph for District 2 and Tom Contner for District 3.
