The Perry Public Library’s “Discover Space” Summer Reading program is wrapping up this week, starting tomorrow with the adult program finale.
Library Director Mary Murphy says to celebrate the end of the program, they’ll be making “Out of this World” sundaes, with every topping you could possibly imagine. Murphy adds, while ice cream is always a good way to bring people in, most people come to the finale for the prizes. This year that includes a brand new one, along with some classics. “We have a BINGO card for the adults, and if you filled out the BINGO card you got put in for a 30-minute plane ride that Walter Aviation gave to the library for this. A lot of people finished this BINGO card, vying for that prize! And then for the regular book review prizes, we will have the Kindle, and the Perry Bucks, and the overnight stay at the Hotel (Pattee). And you would be surprised how many people come to the finale because they want that prize!”
The Adult Summer Reading Program finale will be held tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s large meeting room. There is no cost to attend and no registration is required.
