The high school football season is fast approaching, and an incoming senior at West Central Valley Community Schools continues to gain interest from college football coaches across the Midwest. Carson Wadle, a 2017 Class 1A District 6 honorable mention athlete, gained a verbal offer this week to play college football at Upper Iowa University in Fayette. On July 16th’s Guthrie County PM Sports Page, West Central Valley head football coach Eric Addy told Raccoon Valley Radio of other verbal offers Wadle’s received this summer to play college football. They’ve come from Wayne State College of Nebraska, Simpson College in Indianola, and Graceland University in Lamoni. Last season, Wadle put together one of the best passing campaigns in the history of West Central Valley football. He threw for a district-best 1,866 passing yards, along with 18 passing touchdowns and 19 interceptions. Defensively, Wadle finished third on the team with 44 total tackles, including five for loss. The 2018 West Central Valley football season starts Friday, August 24 in Urbandale against the Des Moines Christian Lions.
