One of the strengths of Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers head football coach Garrison Carter is his ability to connect well with other high school football coaches all across the Midwest. Previous stops at Ogden and Washington respectively have helped Carter build relationships with head coaches all across Iowa including Bondurant-Farrar head football coach Zach Pfantz. Pfantz and Carter first met each other when the two were in different school districts. “Coach Pfantz actually brought his Ottumwa team to my first team camp in Washington, so we’ve known each other for quite a while,” Carter said.

Pfantz was among the first coaches to commit to this weekend’s full team camp in Adel hosted by Simpson College. “He said ‘heck yes, I’m so glad you’re doing this in central Iowa,” Carter said, “We’ll be there. Then about two weeks later we found out we were playing each other Week One. We both have a good enough relationship, and I think we’re both familiar enough with what each other does that we aren’t too worried about having each other at team camp.

The other teams participating in ADM’s full-padded team camp includes the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks, the Earlham Cardinals, the Greene County Rams, the Panorama Panthers, the North Polk Comets, and the West Marshall Trojans. The ADM Tigers open the 2018 season on the road Friday, August 24 at Bondurant-Farrar High School.
