July 30 and 31 are the dates of the Gridiron Football Camp at Greene County High School in Jefferson. Camp Director and Greene County head football coach Mitch Moore told Raccoon Valley Radio the camp is open to students entering third grade and all the way up to seniors in high school.
“We’re always excited to run this camp. We’ll have our whole staff here. We’ll do a great two hour session with our varsity, and those guys will just be coming off a camp called the Central Iowa Team Camp at ADM hosted by Simpson College. We’ll follow that up with our Youth, where the varsity guys get to interact with our Youth, so it’s program wide and really fun for players and coaches.”
Camp hours are 5-8 p.m. July 30 and 31. Official practice for Greene County and all high school fall sports in Iowa begins on Monday, Aug. 6.
