Jeff Lamoureux is in his second season heading the girls and boys cross-country programs at Greene County High School. Paton-Churdan shares the sport with Greene County for the second time after a many year hiatus of having their own program.

One of the differences between this season and 2017 is the fact Lamoureux accepted the position about a week before official practice began. Now, having been on the job a year, he talks about then and now. “Obviously, this year I’ve had the opportunity to set up a summer program for the kids and monitor that. Last year, (assistant) Coach Gearhart did a nice job of having the kids run some in the summer, but this year we’ve set up a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, running schedule where we meet as a group. I know it will be beneficial to the kids taking part to build that aerobic base. We start official practice August 6 and our first meet is August 23, so it’s a great help to those athletes who’ve been running this summer.”
