Tomorrow is the Greene County Medical Center Foundation Annual Golf Outing.
Foundation Director Hollie Roberts says 23 teams have signed up this year along with 15 hole sponsors for the event. The four-person scramble tournament will begin at 10am at the Jefferson Community Golf Course. There are other contests that will take place throughout the day including: a wine pull, 50/50 cash drawing, “on-the-green” and “designated driver” contests. There are two hole-in-one prizes as well like a trip to Las Vegas and a trip to the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
Roberts points out that they have several silent auction items that participants can bid on as well. Some of the items include: an autographed football by Iowa State University Head Football Coach Matt Campbell, a certificate and customized autographed football by University of Iowa Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz to a person of your choice, four Adventureland tickets, an Iowa Hawkeye street banner, gift baskets from Wild Rose and Cobblestone Inn, and other items.
All proceeds from the event will go toward the capital campaign of the recently installed 3D mammography machine at the medical center.
