Relay For Life (RFL) of Guthrie County will be closing out its 2017-2018 fundraising campaign for the American Cancer Society (ACS) with its annual golf tournament. The “Angels Fore Life” four person best-shot tournament will be Saturday, August 4th at the Guthrie Center Golf Course.
Registration begins at 8:30am with a shotgun start set for 9. Cost is $50 per person and includes carts, 18 holes of golf, games, prizes, and a pork loin lunch. Guthrie County spokesperson Kim Durst says the event has been a good one for the organization in the past. “We’re hoping for a great event again this year. We are so fortunate to raise anywhere from $2,000 to $2,500 bucks every year to go towards the fight against cancer.”
Prior to the event, RFL has raised $58,800 for ACS, with their goal being $60,000. To hear more on the tournament, listen to Durst on today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program.
