Assuming every nongraduating player returns next summer, the Panorama softball team returns a lot of talent off this year’s 11-12 campaign. Panther head softball coach Ryan Nail joined the Raccoon Valley Radio’s Guthrie County PM Sports Page last night to discuss his team’s all-conference selections and addressed the state of the program ahead of the offseason. Nail projects to have a majority of his starting lineup back next summer. “We’ve got all our pitching coming back,” Nail said, “Pitcher, catcher, middle infielder, middle outfield all coming back. If everything stays on course, it’ll be our biggest senior group we’ve had since I’ve been here and at that point, it’ll be six years.”
Four of the Panthers’ five all-conference performers projected to return next summer including incoming seniors Lydia Knapp and Kennedy Anderson. In all, six soon to be seniors were out for Panorama softball this summer. Incoming sophomores Shey Storesund and Claire Woodworth were also all-conference players for Panorama softball this season. The Panthers only graduate Kellie Prince and Nicole Rolfes from the program.
