A Jamaica man recently pled guilty to a felony assault charge. According to court documents, 44-year-old Gary Bundy Jr. was sentenced to five years in prison for assault causing serious injury, a Class D Felony.

Bundy will serve the sentence concurrently, with an additional one-year prison sentence for domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness, first offense, a Serious Misdemeanor. As part of the plea agreement, all fines associated with the felony charge were dismissed. However, he was assessed over $200 in court fines and surcharges for the misdemeanor, in addition to court fees.

Court documents state the assault occurred on April 30th.
