Starting Monday morning, the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department will begin work on a project near Adel that will affect traffic on County Road R16.
The construction will be on a one-mile stretch of road just south of Highway 6 to the east of Adel. The road will be reduced to one lane as crews work to pave turn lanes into the future MidAmerican Energy facility. There will be temporary traffic signals in place for the duration of the project, and motorists using R16 should expect delays. Construction will begin Monday at 7 a.m., and is expected to be completed by August 6th, weather-permitting.
Anyone with questions can reach out to the Secondary Roads Department at 515-993-4289.
